We will conclude the splinter session with an open discussion on ALMA2040, focusing in particular on the following questions: - How can we engage the German community in the development of ALMA2040? - What support would be required from an ARC to make effective use of ALMA2040 data? In particular, what expertise, software, data products, observing support, and user support would be needed? - What can we learn from other next-generation facilities? What technical and operational lessons from projects such as the ngVLA or SKAO should be considered in the design and development of ALMA2040?
