PUNCH4NFDI Infrastructure: The Platform for the analysis of Astrophysical Data

PUNCH4NFDI is an NFDI consortium of various physics communities, including particle, astrophysics, astroparticle, hadron, and nuclear physics. It aims to provide seamless, standardized access to computing and storage resources pooled together by participating institutes. This setup offers a FAIR science data platform and inclines volunteer heterogeneous computing systems suitable for large, data-driven, compute-intensive analysis pipelines. With a brief introduction about the project, I will introduce the prototype workflow examples demonstrating the PUNCH4NFDI resources; Compute4PUNCH and Storage4PUNCH, as an efficient platform to analyze the large astronomical data, such as LoFAR, MeerKAT and large cosmological simulations. The analysis pipelines and the reference data encapsulated in a workflow which made available as digital research product to ensure the reproducibility in research. This talk will give an overview of the ongoing work in this direction under PUNCH as well as further advancements for seamless processing.
