Relativistic effects in Large Scale Structure

Relativistic effects become increasingly important on very large scales and in higher-order statistics. In this talk, I will discuss how these effects enter the observed galaxy trispectrum and why they are important for interpreting signals in current and future galaxy surveys. The intrinsic trispectrum is parity invariant, and the standard Newtonian redshift-space contribution also preserves parity symmetry. However, the observed trispectrum contains additional relativistic projection effects, which can generate apparent parity-odd contributions. These terms can become significant on large linear scales, particularly around the equality scale and above, where they may dominate over the Newtonian parity-even part. This shows that relativistic corrections are an essential part of modelling higher-order statistics and should be taken into account in our analysis.
